New & Improved!
October 21st, 2010. Our uploader has been updated. If you have experienced problems in the past while uploading files, those problems should now be gone (we hope)! Technical details are available for those of you who are interested.
Our old uploader used pearl to retrieve the number of bytes that had been uploaded, and was then able to calculate the percentage complete as well as upload speed etc. DonMickey.com is hosted on a shared host - Dreamhost, a great and recommended shared web host. They updated their servers to keep up with the times and some of the server settings changed, which broke the pearl script, making the uploader progress bar no longer work and return an error. For those of you patient enough, you would see your file still uploaded but you would have to view an error messgae for a few moments rather than a nice progress bar. After way too many hours of attempting to get the pearl script working, I abandoned it for a flash uploader, Uploadify. This new uploader uses jQuery and flash and is absolutely amazing. A million thanks to the folks at uploadify.com for sharing their hard work! A few mods to the php.ini file and voila, a shiny new uploader that works!
Please note the following guidelines for using our electronic file transfer:
